Interaction design is closely associated with industrial design. However, it focuses on making use of digital software and hardware and is often deployed in experiential rather than mass produced or preplanned formats.  An iterative focus on human behaviour and experience is carried out to identify design interventions or processes that can in turn be further developed into formalised or mass produced solutions.
